4- For the treatment of TICK-BORNE RICKETTSIOSES
5- For the treatment of OTHER RICKETTSIOSES
6- For the treatment of INFECTIONS OF THE OROPHARYNX - VINCENTS GINGIVITIS & PHARYNGITIS
7- For the treatment of LOCAL INFECTIONS OF SKIN AND SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE
8- For the treatment of URINARY TRACT INFECTION
9- For the treatment of AMEBIASIS
10- For the treatment of ACNE VULGARIS AND OTHER ACNE
11- For the treatment of GONOCOCCAL INFECTIONS
12- For the treatment of EARLY SYPHILIS, SYMPTOMATIC

It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor
How To Use This Medicine
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
* DO NOT take milk, dairy products, ANTACIDS, Calcium, Magnesium, or Iron products within 2 hours of taking this medicine.
* DO NOT give to infants or children up to eight years of age unless directed by your doctor, as it may cause permanent
discoloration of teeth.
* This medicine should be taken WITH a full glass of water (6-8oz).
* This medicine can be taken with or without food, REGARDLESS of meal times. If stomach upset occurs, take with food.
* Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period. DO NOT skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor.
* Notify physician if symptoms do not improve, or if they become worse.
* Start prophylactic treatment 2 weeks before travel to MALARIOUS areas and continue for 4 additional weeks after return.
What To Do If You Miss A Dose
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
How To Store This Medicine
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place. Refrigerate liquid forms and discard unused portion.
Other Side Effects
Changes in urination frequency or amount; Altered voice production; Inflammation of the tongue; Inflammation of the esophagus;
Diarrhea; Skin inflammation; Decreased appetite; Mouth ulcers; Abdominal discomfort or pain; Vomiting; Nausea; Skin rash;
Increased sensitivity to sunlight; Hypersensitivity reactions; Discoloration of mucous membrane; Difficulty swallowing.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE,
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
Precautions And Warnings
* This medicine is CONTRAINDICATED for use during pregnancy. CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF PREGNANT or intend to become
pregnant.
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms
below):-
* shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of
face, hives, & itching.
* The effect of BIRTH CONTROL pills may be decreased while taking this medicine. To avoid unwanted pregnancy, use an additional
means of birth control.
* This medicine may cause increased sensitivity to the sun. You should AVOID prolonged or excessive exposure to direct and/or
artificial sunlight.
